Do you all remember my mare “Mesa”that had a colic displacement surgery as a yearling? Mesa would get stomach aches off and on until she was three, then it got way worse. I was doctoring her with everything I knew and what the vet gave me. He had tapped the belly and it showed a intestinal infection. She was alive but not getting better. Bad hair coat and a sad look in her eye. Losing weight. She didn’t really want to eat . She was so sweet to doctor every time!! We had lot of talks and prayers and she had the WILL to live. But finally the early spring of her 4 year old year I handed it to God and nature. I took her to the pasture and gave her a hug and said God do your thing. I can’t do anymore for her. Now look at her!! Fat and shiny, possibly bred to Bubblin Ta Fame. She was already special to me as she was out of our Hope mare . I had big dreams of riding and showing her.
